Confidence,  Work From Home

How To Be Your Most Successful Self When You Work From Home

When you work from home…. you know it isn’t as glamorous as some people may think. Of course, we get to roll out of bed and not change a thing to sit at our desk- but this also means we work from home…. with our dogs…kids… a list of cleaning to do… distractions… significant others… you get my point. So how the heck do you stay motivated to build your empire?

First, Make a schedule.

Make a schedule and stick to it! This seems so simple but yet it always seems to be the hardest. The days that I work, I get up and get moving immediately so that I am done by noon most times! Perks of being your own boss right? haha

Second, have a designated workspace.

Whether it is a whole room or a corner, create a place that inspires and motivates you. I have a cork board filled with quotes, my goals, and pictures that motivate me.

You’re going to also want to have an organization system. You will be more apt to push off work when your space is a disaster.

Third, Dress in clothes that set you up for success.

While working from home in your pajamas sounds amazing, if being in pajamas makes you just want to lounge around all day then you may want to rethink that routine. Dress in clothes that make you feel good and productive and you will be more successful.

Fourth, Make a motivational playlist.

If you work better in silence, then skip this step. But, if you are like me, you work better with background noise. I have multiple playlists because some days certain songs just make me want to dance and sing instead of sitting and typing. Create something that makes you want to hustle!

Last, Make sure you schedule in days to unplug.

If you work for yourself, you are probably a workaholic which makes this step the hardest. You will be more productive if you take a day or so to stay off of social media and electronics. Instead, take the day to do things you enjoy.
