How to Curl Hair That Doesn’t Like To Curl

Hey Guys!

So I’ve been getting asked for awhile how I curl my hair. And now since I finally got a new one… my dog had chewed the chord off of my other one… here it is!

And, since my hair DOES NOT COOPERATE with most hair products and hot tools. I mean, it literally eats up hairspray (within an hour it feels like I never put anything in it).

Side note: I found a product that DOES help my hair curl. I just put it in after I get out of the shower, let it dry/ blow dry, and then curl my hair. No need for separate heat protectant spray.

Anywho, since I was writing a post about this, I decided to try out another curling wand just so you guys can see how my hair works. I decided not to try a regular one because my hair would’ve been straight by the time I took the picture haha.

Without further ado… Here is a tester and how I ACTUALLY curl my hair.

Revlon Salon High Heat Hair Curling Iron Ball Wand

So here you can see that it really only made my hair wavy, which lasted all night (more than most curling wands). This was right after I had finished “curling” it.

How I did this was taking 1/2″ to 1″ sections and wrapping it around the wand set at the highest temperature. p.s. this comes with a little heat resistant glove so you don’t burn your hand since you have to hold it. It was surprisingly easier than I anticipated.

Now for how I normally curl my hair…

I figured out back when I had done a pageant that this little thing works AMAZING. It curls the longer sections of my hair much better than the shorter ones at the bottom of my head but you can’t see those sections anyway.

There are three curl settings; tight spiral, medium curl, and loose/wavy.  I do a mixture of them, i.e tight and medium or medium and loose. There are also two heat settings so those of you with fragile hair can use the low 😉

How you use this one is pretty simple. You brush out a 1/2″ to 1″ section of hair. Hold the curl secret at the top of where you want your curls to be. And close it around the hair. That’s it. I hold it right next to my scalp (it is still possible to burn your scalp but much harder). It beeps at you and stopped the chamber from spinning when the time is up. SUPER EASY.

You can see there is MUCH more curl to it even though I ran my fingers through it to break it up. I usually put the setting at the one looser than in the picture but I wanted to show you guys how well it does.  My hair stays like this for two days as long as I don’t get it wet. CRAZINESS

How do you guys normally wear your hair? curled, straight, up, however it ends up? Let me know in the comments!

Think that this has valuable information for someone else also? Go ahead and share it!

Talk to you soon,

Sarah
